The
National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS)
membership drive is underway!! Founded in 2003, the goal is to
increase membership to over 500 by adding 150 members, including
25 international companies.
There are
lots reasons to join. The association:
- Represents
our industry position to federal and state legislatures and
to court administrators, with a goal toward keeping records
open, easily accessible and with identifiers.
- Has a
service from a law firm clarifying the FCRA laws in all 50 states.
- Has a
competitive source for E&O insurance.
- Will be
creating standards/accreditation for screening companies, court
researchers and industry employees.
- Has a
user group on the web for communication of concerns and for
obtaining answers to industry questions.
- Has a
very successful annual conference where the free flow of information
can be exchanged amongst industry members. Great for learning
and for networking.
